Personal information is gathered by Birna Trading ehf. during the order checkout process. During the checkout process, your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and credit card information are collected.
Information Usage
The information collected during registration is used only to process and ship your order.
Price and Payment Options
We accept: VISA, MASTERCARD AND JCB cards.
Your credit card payment will go through Korta.
Korta is the only company in Iceland with PCI DSS certification (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). According to the international Card Companies, any entity that handles and/or services card information needs to be PCI certified. Korta is therefore the only company in Iceland that meets the security requirements for handling and/or servicing card information.
Orders to countries outside Iceland may be subject to VAT, import duties and/or taxes, which are levied once you package reaches your country.
Birna Trading ships your package according to incoterm delivered duty unpaid (DDU), which means we do not collect VAT, duties and/or taxes on orders to countries outside of Iceland and we cannot predict what your particular charges may be.
If you do incur any such charges they must be rendered in order for your package to clear customs. Please contact your local customs office for more information.
Credit Card Validation
All credit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to, or does not for any reason, authorize payment then you will be notified of this immediately at the check-out stage.
Product Information
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors of our products that appear on the website. However, as the actual colors you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any color will accurately reflect the color of the product on delivery. All sizes and measurements are approximate, however we do make every effort to ensure they are as accurate as possible. Unless otherwise stated, sizes indicated are UK sizes. Please refer to the size guide for clarification. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. We reserve the right to refuse orders where product information has been mis-published, including prices and promotions.
Exchanges and refunds
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item/s to us in their original condition within 14 days of receipt and we will issue a full refund (excluding original delivery charge) on receipt or exchange the item for a different size / color, if preferred.
Birna Trading cannot accept returns where labels have been removed.
You are responsible for the shipping of returned items back to Birna Trading. Items lost in transportation will not be compensated for.
Shipping charges on returned merchandise are at the customer´s expense. Refunds for returned merchandise will be made within one week of the return of the product, to the original purchaser´s credit card. Note that additional vat, duties and/or taxes will not be refunded.
For customers in Iceland VAT will be included in the refund.
All exchanges are subject to availability. Faulty items will be exchanged to the same type of product in the same size, subject to availability.
Shipping
Items are sent with the Icelandic Postal Service and are insured until delivered. The customer will receive the parcel trackingnumber by email.

All returns and exchanges should be shipped via insured mail in a secure package to: Birna Trading ehf, Smárarimi 25, 112, Reykjavik, Iceland. Tel: +354-445-2020. If you would like to change or cancel an order, please email shop@birnashop.net as soon as possible. We will try to accommodate your request but please understand that our order and shipping systems are designed to get orders on their way quickly and efficiently. Therefore, we cannot change or cancel an order once it has entered the shipping process.
